Job summary

Michael Page in London is seeking a Finance Manager to lead day-to-day financial activities within the Accounting & Finance function for an Ethical consumer lending FinTech. You will own Statutory Reporting, FP&A and Lending Operations.

You will work with stakeholders across the business to provide clear financial information, drive improvements, and support a robust reporting cycle with potential AI-enabled automation.

Qualifications

• Experience with core finance activities and financial reporting.
• Exposure to lenders/FinTech/retail bank is a plus.
• Ability to present financial information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day finance activities and keep records accurate.
• Prepare regular financial reports including Statutory Reporting under FRS 102.
• Oversee budgeting/FP&A and drive reliable forecasts.
• Analyse financial data and explain movements clearly; explore AI automation opportunities.
• Maintain strong financial controls to support accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with Lending Operations to reconcile loans and customer flows.
• Improve finance processes for more efficient reporting.
• Ensure deadlines are met throughout the reporting cycle.

As a Finance Manager in London, you will oversee the day-to-day financial activities within the Accounting & Finance department for an Ethical consumer lending FinTech, financial services organisation. You will own Statutory Reprting, FPnA and Lending Operations.

Ethical consumer lending FinTech creating more accessible personal lending and credit faciliies.

They have multiple sub-brands that sit across personal lending, retail business, and white label too.

• Manage day-to-day finance activities to keep records accurate and up to date.
• Prepare regular financial reports that give the business a clear view of performance -- annual Statutory Reporting with FRS 102.
• Oversee financial planning activity and help maintain reliable budgets -- assist full FP&L.
• Review financial data, identify key movements and explain findings clearly. Opportunity to innovate AI to automate some of these tasks.
• Maintain effective financial controls to support accurate reporting.
• Work with colleagues across the business to provide clear financial information -- Lending Operations oversight like reconciling loans to accounts, customer flows, prepayments.
• Improve finance processes where practical to make reporting more efficient.
• Ensure finance deadlines are planned and met throughout the reporting cycle.

Profile

A successful 'Finance Manager' should have:

• Experience managing core finance activities and financial reporting, controls.
• Have exposure already to a lender / retail bank / commercial or busines bank / FinTech.
• Confidence working with stakeholders to provide financial information.
