Job summary

Camino Search is recruiting a Finance Manager for a fintech business in London. The role is hands‑on, reporting to the Financial Controller with exposure to the CFO. You will own the numbers end to end, with a focus on AI-enabled automation to enhance speed and accuracy.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with month‑end experience in smaller firms, capable of drafting statutory accounts, and comfortable working in a hybrid London environment (3 days in office).

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience.
• Experience running month-end closes in smaller businesses.
• Experience drafting statutory accounts.
• Strong cash reconciliations and loan payments background.
• Lending or banking fintech experience is ideal.
• Experience using AI tools (Claude) and automation mindset.
• Comfortable in an office-based hybrid setup (London).

Responsibilities

Finance Manager | Fintech | London (Hybrid, 3 days in office)

We're partnering with a growing fintech business in the lending space to appoint a Finance Manager. This is a hands‑on role in a lean, ambitious finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller with regular exposure to the CFO. It suits someone who enjoys owning the numbers end to end and is excited about using AI and automation to change how a finance function runs.

The role

• Own the month‑end close process, delivering accurate and timely management accounts
• Prepare and draft the annual statutory accounts, working with external auditors through the year‑end process
• Manage cash reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and control across all accounts
• Oversee loan payment processes and related reconciliations
• Identify manual processes and lead on automating them, using AI tools to improve speed, accuracy and insight
• Support the Financial Controller and CFO with ad hoc analysis, reporting and projects as the business scales

About you

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent experience
• Proven track record of running month‑end in smaller businesses, where you've been close to every part of the process
• Experience drafting statutory accounts
• Strong background in cash reconciliations and loan payments
• Lending or banking experience is ideal; broader fintech experience is also highly relevant
• Demonstrable, practical use of AI in your work, ideally with Claude, and a genuine automation mindset
• Comfortable working at least three days per week from the London office
