Inspire Resourcing Ltd is recruiting a Finance Manager for an established family-owned manufacturing and distribution business. You will own the accounts function and work closely with the Managing Director.

The role suits someone moving from Assistant Accountant/Assistant Management Accountant to take the next step, with hands-on involvement in financial controls, reporting, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on accounting experience with month-end processes.
• Experience producing management accounts for decision-making.
• VAT and year-end accounting knowledge and compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts department operations.
• Oversee purchase and sales ledgers.
• Perform bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and credit control.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Coordinate year-end with external accountants and auditors.

Finance Manager

Inspire Resourcing Ltd are recruiting an experienced Finance Manager on behalf of our client.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established, family-owned manufacturing and distribution business, taking full ownership of the accounts function and working closely with the Managing Director.

This role would suit someone who has been an Assistant Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant wanting to take that next step.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of the accounts department
• Purchase & sales ledger management
• Bank reconciliations, VAT returns and credit control
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning
• Year-end preparation and liaison with external accountants
• Stock accounting, product costing and margin analysis
• Maintaining and improving financial controls and procedures

The ideal candidate

• Strong hands-on accounting experience
• Experience preparing management accounts
• VAT and year-end accounting knowledge
• Advanced Excel and accounting software skills
• AAT qualified or above (ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified/part-qualified candidates encouraged to apply)
• Manufacturing, distribution or ERP system experience advantageous
