We are looking for a qualified and motivated Finance Manager to join our Finance team in Chester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant seeking a varied role that combines technical accounting, financial planning and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and people management.

This role involves the management of one direct report, a Finance Assistant. You will be required to provide day to day hands on support and guidance and will need to ensure that skills within the team are continually being developed.
Responsible for preparation and review of inputs into quarterly management accounts, year-end statutory accounts, budgets and forecasts for a trust, ensuring a thorough review process is undertaken, and reporting deadlines are met at all times.
Responsible for the effective management and financial reporting of overheads for the Main Fund to ensure they are controlled.
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Experience of trust accounting would be advantageous but is not essential.
