Head4Talent is currently working with a tech start-up based in Cardiff that is looking to hire a Finance Manager.

Salary: c£50-55K + Bonus + Equity

Work arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days a week in the office.

The business has shown exceptional growth and is about to receive additional investment, which will support expansion. The role reports directly to the CEO and offers the opportunity to grow into an FC role.

This position involves more than routine financial tasks; you will be instrumental in designing and refining financial strategies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
2. Assist in budget preparation and periodic forecasting to guide strategic decision-making.
3. Provide financial insights that influence pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and revenue projections.
4. Analyze market trends and client requirements to refine financial models for new and existing services.
5. Evaluate current financial processes and suggest improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
6. Implement and uphold best practices in accounting, financial control, and compliance.
7. Collaborate with external accountants or auditors on statutory filings, tax returns, and year-end audits.

Experience & Qualifications

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
• Commercially savvy with a proactive approach and a drive for continuous improvement.
• Strong IT and data analysis skills, including financial modeling experience.
• Experience in the finance department of a medium-to-large organization.
