Head4Talent are currently working exclusively with a tech start up based in Cardiff that are looking to hire a Finance Manager.

Hybrid 3 days week in the office.

The business has show exceptional growth and is about to receive additional investment in the coming months which will help with the expansion of the business. Role with report into the CEO with the opportunity to grow into an FC role,

This role goes beyond day-to-day financial tasks; you will be pivotal in designing and refining financial strategies that improve efficiency, accuracy, and help shape decision-making processes. By taking ownership of financial operations, you’ll drive commercial support.

Duties Include

Oversee monthly and quarterly closing processes, including general ledger reviews and adjusting entries.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Assist in budget preparation and periodic forecasting to guide strategic decision-making.
Commercial Support & Quote Generation
Invoicing & Accounts Management
Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to develop accurate, cost-effective quotes
Provide financial insights that shape pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and revenue projections.
Analyse market trends and client requirements to refine financial models for new and existing services.
Evaluate current financial processes and propose enhancements to boost accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
Implement and maintain best practices in accounting, financial control, and compliance.
Work closely with external accountants or auditors on statutory filings, tax returns, and year-end audits.
Develop policies and procedures that ensure robust financial governance and risk management.
Monitor daily cash flow, forecasting short- and long-term liquidity needs.
Develop strategies to optimise working capital, including management of receivables, payables, and inventory (if applicable).

Experience

Qualified Accountant, ideally worked in an SME or tech business
Commercial Finance Exposure: Familiarity with quoting, contract finance, and negotiating commercial terms in a B2B context.
