Job summary

Butler Rose Ltd is supporting an NHS Trust with the appointment of an experienced Interim Finance Manager for an initial 3-month assignment starting in November. The role is hybrid, with one day per week in the Bicester office.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will deliver management accounts, support budgeting and cost improvement plans, and provide financial governance across finance and non-finance teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as an interim finance professional in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to partner with senior stakeholders and non-finance teams.
• Strong month-end, budgeting and governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate management accounts and meet month-end deadlines.
• Provide clear financial reporting, insight and briefings for senior stakeholders.
• Partner with operational, corporate and budget leads to support robust decision-making.
• Support budget setting, forecasting, costing, benchmarking and cost improvement plans.
• Contribute to audit preparation, financial governance and accurate external returns.
• Deputise for the Senior Finance Manager and support transparent management processes.

I'm supporting an NHS Trust with the appointment of an experienced Interim Finance Manager for an initial 3-month assignment starting in November. Offering hybrid working with just one day per week in Bicester, this is a great opportunity to add immediate value in a varied finance and governance-focused role.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you'll provide high-quality business partnering across finance and non-finance teams, supporting month-end, budgeting, costing, audit preparation, financial governance and cost improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate management accounts and meet month-end deadlines.
• Provide clear financial reporting, insight and briefings for senior stakeholders.
• Partner with operational, corporate and budget leads to support robust decision-making.
• Support budget setting, forecasting, costing, benchmarking and cost improvement plans.

• The role may also involve deputising for the Senior Finance Manager, supporting transparent management processes, strengthening external partnerships and helping ensure Trust funds are used effectively and can withstand scrutiny.
