Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a Finance Manager for a high-tech manufacturing business based near Bicester. You will work with the Financial Controller to deliver accurate financial reporting and support month-end and year-end close, in a fast-paced environment with strong cross-functional collaboration.

The role covers financial accounting, reporting, controls and business partnering, with advanced Excel and robust analysis to inform management decisions.

Qualifications

• Essential: Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Manufacturing experience advantageous.
• Strong technical accounting and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel and reporting capability.
• Able to work with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.

Responsibilities

• Support the month end and year end close process, ensuring financial information is accurate and delivered on time.
• Prepare and review financial journals, reconciliations and balance sheet information.
• Provide insightful analysis and commentary on financial performance for operational teams.
• Support analysis of actual performance vs budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain strong financial controls and improve reporting processes.

Finance Manager - 60,000 - 70,000 - High Tech Manufacturing - Bicester

Working in partnership with the Financial Controller, you will support the delivery of accurate financial reporting across a high-end, high-tech manufacturing business.

The role will have a broad remit across financial accounting, reporting, controls and business partnering, with the opportunity to work closely with both Finance and operational stakeholders.

Responsibilities for the Finance Manager include:

• Support the month end and year end close process, ensuring financial information is accurate, complete and delivered within deadlines.
• Prepare and review financial journals, reconciliations and balance sheet information.
• Work closely with operational teams to understand financial performance and provide insightful analysis and commentary.
• Support the wider Finance team with analysis of actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain strong financial controls and processes, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and reporting requirements.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of financial reporting processes, systems and controls.
• Work closely with the business to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial information used for management reporting.

Profile

• It is essential the candidate is a Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
