Job summary

Jacob Grey are exclusively partnered with a successful manufacturing SME to appoint a new FC/Head of Finance to lead their day to day finance operations as well as acting as a commercial business partner to the Board.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your role will comprise of the following duties: Hands on preparation of the monthly Management Accounts including Balance Sheet reconciliations and P&L production; Presenting the Management Accounts to the MD and Board with variance analysis and

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with demonstrable track record in a similar FC/Head of Finance role.
• Experience in manufacturing or SME environments preferred.
• Strong technical accounting and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Hands on preparation of monthly Management Accounts including Balance Sheet reconciliations and P&L production.
• Present Management Accounts to the MD and Board with variance analysis and commentary.
• Statutory accounting / Year End including liaising with auditors.
• Manage and develop a small finance team.
• Prepare annual and quarterly budgets and cashflow forecasts.
• Oversee AP, AR, VAT submissions, and credit control.
• Act as a business partner to senior leadership with commercial insight.
• Stock accounting and analysis.
• Lead ad hoc projects to improve profit, performance and growth.
• Improve/introduce new financial systems and processes.
