Job summary

Boeing United Kingdom Limited in Bristol invites applications for a Finance Intern (Accounting) on a 12 month placement within the International Controllership Accounting Team. You will work across core accounting functions and gain exposure to monthly close, journals, and financial reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Right to work in UK - We do not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
• Working towards a Finance related degree with an estimated grade of 2:1 or above preferred.
• Ambition to study towards a professional qualification (e.g. CIMA/ACCA) subsequent to University.
• Proactive in their approach to work and an ambition to learn more/develop themselves during their 12 month internship.
• Experience with using basic Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.
• Confident in presenting data/information/ideas to more senior members of the Finance and other functional teams.
• Attention to detail and an emphasis on first time quality.

Responsibilities

• Financial Controllership (Core): manage accounting, controls and reporting for UK & Ireland entities.
• Support the Financial Accountants.
• Bank reconciliation work.
• Month end reconciliations.
• Calculating and processing journals to make accounting adjustments.
• Analysis and reporting on expenses and benefits to deliver PSA.
• Presentations on financial results.
• Work on cashflow tracking to support dividend/loan decisions.
