Finance Graduate Trainee Researcher PORTUGUESE

This role is 100% REMOTE and offers a unique opportunity for a graduate trainee/junior research analyst to start a career in M&A (Mergers and Acquisition). Salary: 30,000 + bonus (total compensation approximately 39,000 per annum)

The role involves supporting the M&A team in researching and identifying potential acquisition targets. Your main responsibilities will be 1) Analysis and 2) M&A deal support.

DUTIES

Research Analysis (80%)

• Research and filter potential acquisition targets via various channels, internet searches, and databases
• Create a list of up to 25 potential targets based on a well-defined investment profile
• Identify decision-makers in large multinational corporations
• Rank companies and identify opportunities
• Manage data related to potential acquisitions in the in-house system (training provided)
• Analyze company finances and data to assess investment potential
• Conduct market research across geographies for acquisition opportunities
• Map relevant software M&A advisors, from international to regional firms
• Identify event attendees who could be potential acquisition targets
• Explore third-party data sources, industry lists, and trade conferences for opportunities
• Categorize companies and relay information to the sales team for outreach

M&A Deal Support (20%)

• Assist with market analysis, contract review, financial analysis, and due diligence
• Prepare investment memorandums

REQUIREMENTS

• Fluent English (additional languages are a plus but not essential)
• Degree holder
• Interest or knowledge in software and technology sectors
• Intermediate Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis from multiple sources
• Finance-related degree (e.g., accounting, economics) is desirable but not mandatory
