Finance Graduate - Customer Service, London

Portfolio Credit Control is currently partnered with an ever-growing, well-established professional services business with a global presence. We are seeking to strengthen the credit control team with a customer service-driven individual interested in a long-term career in Credit Control.

Position: Graduate – Customer Service

Type: Permanent – Office Based

Reporting to: Credit Control Manager

This role involves managing a portfolio of approximately £5m across several hundred clients, focusing on cash collection and ledger administration. The ideal candidate should remain calm under pressure, have great attention to detail, and be methodical in resolving issues. This is an exciting opportunity during a significant phase of growth and transition for the business.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Contact clients regarding overdue accounts, payments, and service queries via telephone and email.
• Handle all incoming invoice and payment correspondence, update internal systems accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve client queries about outstanding invoices.
• Perform account adjustments as needed.
• Handover files for litigation when collection opportunities are exhausted, maintaining full case history and liaising with the litigation team.
• Inform the Client Experience team of any complaints, cancellations, or action points.

Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail, proactive attitude, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in a finance role is advantageous
• Team player with a willingness to learn
• Experience with Salesforce and/or Access Dimensions is beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided.
