Job summary

Morgan Advanced Materials in Swansea is seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Controller / Finance Generalist to join the finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role supports day-to-day financial operations and ERP transition.

You will work across accounts pay/rec, GL, month-end, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring controls and accuracy. A proactive, detail‑oriented candidate with ACCA/CIMA desirable but not essential is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Finance Generalist or Assistant Controller
• Strong month-end and financial reporting knowledge
• Manufacturing/engineering environment experience advantageous
• ERP implementation or migration experience desirable
• ACCA/CIMA desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and journal processing
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments and variance analysis
• Prepare and support monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting and group reporting requirements
• Support internal and external audit activities
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and company policies
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business and provide finance support as required
• Help maintain finance documentation and controls during the ERP implementation
