Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland is seeking a Finance Data Scientist to advance decision intelligence through ML-driven forecasting across CFO-related planning and performance domains.

You will own forecasting models end-to-end, from problem framing to production deployment, collaborating with Planning & Performance Management and Data/ML Engineering teams to deliver dashboards and explainability for finance decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Depth in time series forecasting with classical and modern approaches.
• Proficiency in Python and data stack; production or near-production deployment.
• Strong forecast evaluation and validation knowledge.
• Experience communicating with finance stakeholders to align models with planning calendars.

Responsibilities

• Build forecasting models on client financial data using diverse methods.
• Prepare and validate multi-source data and assess hierarchies across products/entities/geographies.
• Design back-testing, time-series cross-validation, and benchmark assessments.
• Run scenario analyses and provide CFO-level insights with uncertainty ranges.
