Job summary

Accenture UKI Finance RP seeks a Finance Data Scientist to advance forecasting capabilities across client planning and performance management. You will own forecasting models from problem framing to production, working with finance stakeholders to drive measurable business impact.

You will combine time-series methods with the Python data stack and modern ML tooling to deliver explainable forecasts, integrating with EPM platforms and supporting CFO-level decision making in London or Manchester.

Qualifications

• Deep time-series forecasting knowledge with both classical and modern methods.
• Proficient Python stack, SQL, and reproducible ML pipelines.
• Experience with forecast evaluation and model validation.
• Ability to explain model results to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with FP&A and finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Build forecasting models on client finance data using suitable ML approaches.
• Prepare multi-source data and engineer drivers across hierarchies.
• Design back-testing and time-series validation with benchmarks.
• Run scenario analyses for CFO-level insights.
• Provide variance explanation and commentary for planning.
• Integrate models into EPM platforms and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers on workflows and governance.
• Document methods, data, and limitations for transparency.
