Job summary

Thales is seeking a Finance Director to lead UK Financial Control, Accounting & Planning. Reporting to the UK CFO, you will helm financial governance, assurance and technical excellence across the organisation, overseeing financial reporting, tax and treasury with an emphasis on IFRS and statutory compliance.

This role requires deep accounting expertise, audit leadership, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while developing a high-performing specialised team in a hybrid Crawley

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in financial control and statutory reporting.
• Deep understanding of IFRS and UK reporting requirements.
• Significant experience leading external audits and liaising with regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead all UK financial reporting, accounting and financial control activities.
• Oversee statutory accounts, tax, treasury, and financial shared services.
• Coordinate with external auditors, advisers and banking partners.
• Guide budgeting, forecasting and multi-year planning at UK level.
• Drive finance transformation and develop a high-performing team.
