The Finance Director Distributor Markets will work across markets & functions, acting as a true business partner for the Head of Distributor Market. This role involves supporting all aspects of the business, from identifying opportunities to managing risk, and overseeing financial operations of our trading entity.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in financial modelling and analytical tools, capable of building complex analyses and business simulations, and presenting them in an insightful, visual manner to facilitate decision-making by senior management.

Experience in financial operations, ensuring processes are efficient and compliant with accounting and Group policies, is essential. The role requires cross-functional collaboration, leadership, and influence skills to drive change and operational efficiency.

Your day at Ferring

1. Lead the Finance Distributor Markets team
2. Support the Head of Distributor Markets in managing global partners
3. Assist in strategic and operational decision-making with timely analyses
4. Develop scenarios and stress tests considering risk/reward profiles
5. Drive value creation and support business leaders with financial insights
6. Identify improvements and propose implementation plans
7. Support budget, forecast, and business planning processes
8. Collaborate with markets and finance functions to ensure financial control
9. Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal guidelines
10. Benchmark performance against competitors and incorporate external insights
11. Evaluate financial planning tools for accuracy and timeliness

• Accountancy qualification or a Master’s in Finance/Economics required
• CPA or MBA is desirable but not essential
• 10+ years in finance, preferably in multinational environments
• Experience as Head of Finance overseeing accounting & FP&A
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and commercial models
• Strong skills in financial modelling and analytical tools
• Understanding of IFRS and financial processes
• Project and change management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a decentralized finance structure
• Experience in alliance management and due diligence is a plus
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
• Willingness to travel (20-30%)
