Job summary

HW Finance are proud to be working in Retained Partnership with a well-established manufacturing business to appoint a Finance Director into a key leadership position.

The FD will be a genuine strategic partner to the Managing Director, helping shape the direction of the business while leading a high-performing finance function. Alongside financial leadership, you'll play an influential role across operational performance, business improvement and wider strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified Finance Directors (or Heads of Finance stepping into their first FD role) with manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Leading all aspects of the finance function, from reporting and controls through to planning and analysis.
• Driving budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management to support informed decision making.
• Partnering operational teams to improve profitability, efficiency and performance.
• Leading business improvement and transformation projects across the organisation.
• Developing a commercially focused finance team that adds real value to the wider business.
• Acting as a trusted member of the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic discussions and long-term planning.

The successful individual is likely to enjoy operating beyond the numbers - challenging decisions, improving processes, influencing stakeholders and helping deliver sustainable growth.

Key areas of focus include:

• Leading all aspects of the finance function, from reporting and controls through to planning and analysis.
• Driving budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management to support informed decision making.
• Partnering operational teams to improve profitability, efficiency and performance.

We're keen to speak with qualified Finance Directors (or ambitious Heads of Finance stepping into their first FD role) who have experience within manufacturing or another operationally focused environment.

You’ll be commercially minded, naturally collaborative and comfortable influencing at Board level, whilst remaining hands-on where required.
