Job Opportunity: UK Finance Director

Salary: c £100k – c £115k pa plus car, bonus, and benefits

Location: West Yorkshire

Our client, a leading division within a highly profitable group, specializes in designing, manufacturing, and providing total solutions for the commercial refrigeration market. They serve major food retailers and are experiencing dynamic growth with plans to increase market share significantly.

Role Overview: We are seeking an exceptional UK Finance Director to lead the finance function during this exciting period of transformation and growth.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the finance team in a highly commercial environment amidst ongoing change.
2. Act as a key member of the senior leadership team, influencing business strategy and performance.
3. Work closely with the Regional Financial Director and UK Managing Director to align financial and operational goals.
4. Drive transformational change within the finance function, promoting smart and lean ways of working.
5. Represent finance on the Board, providing strategic insights and driving improvements in financial and operational performance.
6. Oversee the full business planning cycle, ensuring robust cost control and forecasting.
7. Manage finance activities across two UK sites and collaborate with overseas shared services.
8. Develop initiatives to support other business functions and ensure compliance with UK and international standards.
9. Implement financial change management initiatives to foster sustainable business improvements.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with a proven track record in profit improvement and financial management.
• Experience in a dynamic B2B manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally with complexity in R&D, project delivery, or product portfolios.
• Background in sectors like capital equipment, HVAC, automotive, or medical equipment is advantageous.
• Brave, proactive, resilient, with deep experience in finance transformation and change management.
• Exceptional commercial acumen, influential leadership, and the ability to introduce strategic initiatives.
