Job summary

Scottish Government OGD Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to turn financial data into actionable insight within a corporate context. You will focus on data, reporting, and systems to enable informed decision making across the organisation.

As part of the Corporate Reporting team you will produce reports and applications, leveraging Power BI and Oracle tools while maintaining clear communication with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate reporting and BI.
• Strong data handling and Excel/VBA skills.
• Familiarity with Oracle finance suite is preferred.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Part-qualified or working towards a professional qualification with support provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop repeatable processes for EPM financial reporting, including data refresh timelines.
• Align Corporate Finance dashboards/reports with SG policies and Power BI hosting standards.
• Build and maintain Power BI security models and manage access requests.
• Support communications with stakeholders through Q&A sessions and training materials.
• Suggest improvements by triaging stakeholder feedback and coordinating with Corporate Finance.
