Job summary

Marex Group plc seeks an experienced finance data professional to develop centralized datasets for trading systems and enable P&L reporting, balance sheet substantiation, and statutory reporting across the firm. You will build and validate datasets, reconcile to the general ledger, and collaborate with IT and data analytics teams to implement enterprise-grade solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience working in Finance in a regulated environment and knowledge of risk and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional problem solving skills.
• Control-focused and detail-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrable interest in data-manipulation techniques.
• Highly advanced, up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal teams to develop core datasets for Marex's trading systems. Refine datasets to meet Finance's requirements for management P&L reporting, balance sheet substantiation, and statutory reporting.
• Build reconciliations to tie datasets to the general ledger and support Finance tasks using End User Computing (EUC) applications such as Alteryx.
• Partner with enterprise data engineers and analytics teams to validate integrated datasets against the general ledger and act as liaison for Finance.
• Work with IT to migrate builds to IT-owned platforms and design/execute UAT testing for tools.
• Become subject matter expert on datasets and tools and provide training to the Finance team.
