Job summary

Marex are seeking a Finance Data Specialist to build centralised datasets for trading systems and finance reporting. You will work with data engineers and analytics teams to ensure datasets align with the general ledger, P&L reporting and statutory requirements.

You will help automate workflows, expose data to AI tools, and train the Finance team on new datasets and tooling. The role requires regulated-finance experience, strong Excel skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Finance within a regulated environment.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and controls.
• Demonstrated ability in data manipulation and data quality.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop centralised core datasets for trading systems and Finance reporting.
• Build reconciliations to link datasets with the general ledger using EUC tools such as Alteryx.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analytics teams to validate datasets across the firm.
• Manage builds with IT and standardise processes for adoption by Finance.
• Design and execute UAT testing for all tools and updates.
• Document datasets, provide training to Finance, and ensure smooth adoption.
• Long-term migration of tools to IT-owned platforms.
