Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking a Business Process Manager - Controls Workstream to lead controls design, assessment and improvement within a major Finance Transformation programme. Reporting to the Group Financial Controls Leader, you will shape the future-state control environment and drive high-quality workstream delivery across the Group.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience leading complex analysis and structured problem solving.
• Proven ability to drive controls design, governance and remediation.
• Background in finance transformation or controls within large shared services.

Responsibilities

• Lead controls transformation across key Finance processes with defined ownership and evidence requirements.
• Analyze current control environment to identify friction points and root causes.
• Turn analysis into prioritized recommendations and implementation plans.
• Develop core controls frameworks, inventories, KPIs and governance materials.
• Drive simplification using LEAN methodologies to reduce manual activity while maintaining controls.
• Collaborate with Finance process teams, reporting and risk functions and external auditors.
• Lead controls assessment and remediation activities including risk register updates and action tracking.
• Prepare governance papers and decision-support materials for senior stakeholders.
• Support implementation from detailed design to go-live and steady-state embedding.
• Influence the wider business to strengthen control ownership and compliance.
