Job summary

Cumberland Council is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead a team responsible for critical financial controls, including bank and main accounting reconciliations. You will support VAT returns and contribute to statutory accounts, working closely with senior managers and external partners to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of financial systems and control functions.
• Experience with bank account reconciliations and main accounting system reconciliations.
• Experience supporting VAT returns and input to statutory accounts.
• Ability to lead, influence senior managers and external partners.
