Job summary

Turley, based in Manchester, seeks a qualified accountant to lead financial control, compliance, governance, and operational finance across the organisation. You will partner with the Financial Controller to strengthen controls, drive process improvements, and provide technical accounting guidance to the business.

You will own a broad portfolio, mentor team members, report insights to senior stakeholders, and support strategic delivery through robust financial data and sound judgement.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
• Approximately 2–3 years post-qualification experience in Financial Controls/technical accounting or similar.
• Experience in audit environment is advantageous.
• Experience in people leadership or line management is preferred.
• Continuous improvement mindset with ability to strengthen processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Own financial control, compliance, governance and operational finance across the organisation.
• Strengthen financial controls and processes; provide technical accounting expertise.
• Collaborate with Financial Controller and Finance team to inform and influence operational performance.
• Advise the business using data interpretation and ensure deadlines are met.
• Develop and coach team members while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
