Axon Moore is exclusive partner for a well-established business seeking a Financial Controller in the North West. You will own the full finance function, delivering strategic insight and hands-on leadership while partnering with the Senior Management Team.

The role offers a clear progression plan to Finance Director within 18–24 months and requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with a proven track record in senior finance roles. Manufacturing/construction experience is advantageous.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong post-qualified experience in a senior finance role.
• Experience implementing and improving financial processes, controls and systems.
• Industry experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering or project management is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Lead and develop a finance team of three.
• Take full responsibility for the finance function with robust controls and high-quality reporting.
• Produce monthly MI pack and present key insights at MI meetings.
• Forecast for Business Units and present to the Board.
• Lead annual budgeting with coordination across Business Units and Sales Team.
• Provide commercial insight, analysis and recommendations for strategic decisions.
• Oversee cash flow, weekly forecasts, and cash reporting.
• Oversee credit control, purchasing and VAT returns.
• Oversee payroll and related compliance.
• Work with external auditors for annual audits and statutory accounts.
• Lead annual renewal of company insurance policies.
• Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks.
