Job summary

Axon Moore are recruiting a Financial Controller for a private equity-backed business experiencing strong growth. You will own financial control, group reporting, consolidation and finance operations across UK and international entities.

Ideal candidates are technically strong with a commercial mindset, capable of leading a finance team and partnering with the CFO to steer strategic decisions amid rapid growth. Hybrid role in Cheshire with progression toward FD.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with strong technical background.
• Experience managing multi-entity consolidations and month-end close.
• Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
• Experience with multi-currency reporting and group finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process across multiple legal entities.
• Manage group consolidation, balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
• Oversee production of monthly management accounts and board packs.
• Provide insights on revenue, margins, profitability and cash.
• Ensure accurate Group P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Support statutory reporting, year-end audit and compliance.
• Lead and develop a finance team and mentor staff.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive commercial decisions.
