Job summary

Candidate Source Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Financial Controller for a major manufacturing site near Chesterfield. You will lead the site's finance function, report to the General Manager and shape profitability through controls, budgeting and capital decisions.

The role requires a fully qualified accountant with manufacturing exposure and strong management accounting, reporting and commercial partnering skills.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Senior finance leadership experience in manufacturing (packaging/FMCG).
• Strong skills in management accounting, reporting, budgeting and control.
• Experience in commercial business partnering and profitability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and manage the site's finance team with strong controls.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and planning.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, inventory controls and stock reconciliation.
• Evaluate capex and improvement initiatives, providing financial recommendations.
• Maintain governance, compliance and audit standards with senior stakeholders.
