Finance Business Systems Analyst (Oracle)

12 month Fixed Term Contract – Maternity leave cover

Reporting to the Head of FBSS

Locations: York / Colchester / London / Lisbon – with Hybrid working

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving problems? We are looking for an Oracle Finance Business Systems Specialist who is also a part qualified accountant. You should have good technical expertise in Oracle modules including General Ledger, Sub-Ledgers, Consolidation (FCCS), Planning (EPBCS), Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Allocations (PCMCS) and Data Management (MDM).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, maintain, support and enhance Oracle ERP applications.
2. Gather requirements from users and translate into technical and process design specifications.
3. Create and maintain documentation for Oracle support initiatives and change requests.
4. Support Oracle tools in Finance, including form updates, UAT, process development, report creation, and chart of accounts maintenance.
5. Support EPBCS-based Forecast, Budget, and Long Range Planning processes.
6. Assist with FCCS group consolidation process.
7. Support working day timetable processes.
8. Establish best practices and train users on Oracle Report development and Smartview.
9. Perform data cleansing and auditing to ensure quality.
10. Monitor change/ticket requests.
11. Analyze system performance and hierarchies for improvements.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience required:

• Strong technical knowledge of Oracle Cloud Solutions.
• Fully or part qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA), ideally with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with Oracle modules including General Ledger, Sub-Ledgers, FCCS, EPBCS, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, PCMCS, MDM.
• Experience in systems administration/support, preferably in financial services.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong control mindset and experience.
