Principal Consultant - Permanent Senior Accountancy & Finance at Investigo

About the Company:

Investigo are exclusively partnering with a leading provider of business services. Their operations cover numerous countries and the business employs over 2,000 people across multiple branches. Our client is private equity backed and is looking to continue their rapid growth plans. Due to this growth, they are now recruiting a FP&A Business Partner to work alongside the Sales & Marketing channels.

The newly created role will play a key part in driving the growth of the UK business, reporting to the Head of FP&A and supporting the Business Development Director and Commercial Director with commercial insights, opportunities, and plans to deliver growth targets. The role involves becoming a trusted partner to the leadership team and integrating into the commercial teams to provide insight and commercial challenge to enhance go-to-market strategies with a customer-first focus.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ownership of the sales & marketing budgeting and forecasting, including sales less materials, sales headcount, and marketing costs.
  2. P&L performance management, identifying risks and opportunities, and creating plans to optimize sales and marketing KPIs, with course corrections as needed.
  3. Partner with the Business Development and Commercial Directors to drive commercial discipline, target delivery, and profitability through analysis and insight.
  4. Provide understanding of the profitability of new placements to drive machine service sales and ensure optimal profitability while meeting customer needs.
  5. Analyze marketing effectiveness to support investment in inbound lead generation for business growth.
  6. Produce and distribute monthly insight packs and management presentations.
  7. Create, refine, and automate reporting tools, models, and dashboards focused on KPIs such as placements, pricing, margins, and pull reduction to support timely, data-driven decisions by leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years PQE (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Experience in fast-paced industries such as Retail, FMCG, or B2B Services within a high-growth environment
  • Previous experience in FP&A and/or Business Partnering is essential
