Boots Opticians is seeking a Finance Business Partner for IT, Optical Development and Professional Services. You will influence decision-making by applying insight, challenging assumptions and partnering with senior stakeholders across the finance team to deliver commercially focused outcomes.

You'll own financial modelling, budgets and governance for investments, support rigorous planning with FP&A and Financial Control, and help manage the cost base to drive performance while communicating

What you'll be doing

As a Finance Business Partner for IT, Optical Development, and Professional Services at Boots Opticians, you will play a crucial role in shaping and influencing decision making, ensuring all business decisions are commercially focused by applying insight and appropriate challenge and influence. You will foster strong relationships with senior stakeholders and the wider finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting the business to achieve its financial commitments and long-term goals

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and the finance team.
• Hold business partners accountable for delivering financial commitments and budgets.
• Provide financial modelling support and governance for investment proposals.
• Collaborate with FP&A and Financial Control teams for rigorous financial planning and reporting.

• Explain key finance concepts to non-finance colleagues, enhancing their financial acumen.

What you'll need to have (our must-haves)

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

It would be great if you also have

• Experience with SAP would be advantageous.
• Previous experience in a business partnering role.
• Familiarity with financial modelling and reporting processes.
