Job summary

Boots Opticians is seeking a Finance Business Partner for IT, Optical Development and Professional Services. You will influence commercial decisions by providing insight, challenge and robust financial governance, while building relationships with senior stakeholders and the finance team.

You will support the business to achieve its financial commitments and long-term goals, contribute to financial planning and reporting, and help optimise the cost base through rigorous analysis.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Finance Business Partner for IT, Optical Development, and Professional Services at Boots Opticians, you will play a crucial role in shaping and influencing decision making, ensuring all business decisions are commercially focused by applying insight and appropriate challenge and influence. You will foster strong relationships with senior stakeholders and the wider finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting the business to achieve its financial commitments and long‑term goals

Contract: Permanent

Shift pattern: On-site

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and the finance team.


• Hold business partners accountable for delivering financial commitments and budgets.


• Provide financial modelling support and governance for investment proposals.


• Collaborate with FP&A and Financial Control teams for rigorous financial planning and reporting.


• Manage the cost base effectively to support informed decision‑making.


• Explain key finance concepts to non-finance colleagues, enhancing their financial acumen.

What You'll Need To Have (our Must-haves)
