Job summary

Altrincham Agile is seeking a Finance Business Partner for a high-profile, commercially focused role on a 12-month fixed-term contract with hybrid working. The role involves turning financial information into meaningful insight for senior leaders and ensuring risks and opportunities are clearly understood.

You will provide proactive financial insight, lead analysis of performance, budgets and forecasts, and build strong relationships across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong commercial finance experience.
• Experience in FP&A or management accounting and business partnering.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive financial insight and constructively challenge decisions.
• Lead analysis around performance, budgets, forecasts and long-term planning.
• Monitor performance vs. plan and explain movements clearly.
• Produce financial analysis and commentary for senior leadership reports.
• Identify risks/opportunities and suggest practical actions.
• Ensure planning assumptions are robust and commercially realistic.
• Improve finance processes, reporting and ways of working.
• Build strong relationships across finance and the wider organisation.

We're recruiting a qualified Finance Business Partner for a high profile, commercially focused role where finance has a genuine voice in decision-making. This is a 12 month fixed-term contract requiring someone who can establish credibility quickly, operate confidently with senior stakeholders and add value from the outset.
You'll work closely with senior leadership, turning financial information into meaningful insight and ensuring performance, risks and opportunities are clearly understood

The role

• Providing proactive financial insight and constructive challenge to influence business decisions
• Leading analysis around performance, budgets, forecasts and longer-term planning
• Monitoring performance against plan and explaining key movements, outlook and emerging issues clearly
• Producing financial analysis and commentary for senior leadership reporting
• Identifying risks and opportunities and recommending practical actions
• Ensuring planning assumptions are robust, stretching and commercially realistic
• Improving finance processes, reporting and ways of working
• Building strong relationships across finance and the wider organisation

The person

You'll be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with strong commercial finance and business partnering experience. Just as importantly, you'll be comfortable challenging senior stakeholders and defending your analysis. You'll combine strong numeracy with commercial judgement, communicate complex information clearly and remain effective when priorities shift.

This could particularly suit someone who has progressed through management accounting, FP&A or a similar finance route before moving into business partnering and is now ready for broader commercial exposure.
