Job summary

Vitae Financial Recruitment is seeking a Finance Business Partner for a manufacturing client based in Royston. The role collaborates closely with factory and operations leadership to provide commercial financial insight and drive performance.

You will oversee cost control, product costing, stock, CAPEX, budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting, with a hands-on, analytical approach and strong stakeholder management. Hybrid working with some travel.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Manufacturing or operational finance experience required.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

Finance Business Partner – FactoryRoyston | Hybrid Working | Salary: DOEVitae Financial Recruitment are currently supporting a successful and growing international manufacturing business with the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner to support its factory and operational finance activities.This is a broad, commercially focused role for a qualified accountant with manufacturing or operational finance experience, who enjoys working closely with operational teams and using financial insight to drive better business decisions.You will act as a key finance partner to the manufacturing operation, covering areas including cost control, product costing, stock, CAPEX, budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting. You will also play an important role in identifying performance improvement opportunities and ensuring strong financial control across the operation.Key responsibilities include:Business partnering with factory and operational leadership.Analysing manufacturing costs, volumes and performance.Product costing and margin analysis.Budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.Stock and inventory analysis.CAPEX monitoring and control.Providing commercial insight and financial challenge.Improving reporting, processes and financial controls.Supporting audit, Board reporting and wider finance projects.The ideal candidate will have:ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.Previous manufacturing, factory or operational finance experience.Strong analytical and commercial skills.Advanced Excel capability.Experience with ERP systems; IFS would be advantageous.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.A hands-on, curious approach with the ability to understand both the detail and the wider commercial picture.Based in Royston, the role offers hybrid working and will involve some UK travel, with occasional international travel.Salary: DOEThis is a confidential appointment.
