Job summary

The Niche Partnership is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our commercial finance team in the UK. You will support contract managers, analyse performance, and present financial results to influence decisions and pricing.

This permanent, office-based role in Portsmouth offers a collaborative environment with study support and progression opportunities, plus a flexible arrangement after settling in.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3+ or above.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance or working towards professional studies (CIMA/ACCA).
• Strong commercial awareness and financial literacy.

Responsibilities

• Support Contract Managers with financial management and decision-making.
• Analyse contract performance and explain financial results.
• Prepare and present P&L information, assist budgeting and month-end processes.
• Identify issues and opportunities within contracts and provide commercial insight.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting Contract Managers with financial management and decision-making
• Analysing contract performance and explaining financial results
• Preparing and presenting P&L information, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and month-end
• Identifying issues and opportunities within contracts, providing commercial insight and helping managers understand the financial impact of decisions
• Supporting business cases, tendering, and pricing exercises, liaising with clients and providing financial information where required
• Building strong relationships with operational teams and stakeholders, attending client meetings and producing financial reports for clients
• Supporting open-book audit requirements and providing relevant documentation

What you will need:

• AAT Level 3 or above, degree in Accounting/Finance, or studying towards CIMA/ACCA studies
• Previous experience in a similar role (Junior Finance Business Partner, Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Analyst, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills (X-lookups, Pivot tables, PowerBi desirable)
• A good level of commercial understanding and awareness
