Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a newly created Finance Business Partner role based in Preston. You will work closely with the Purchasing team to optimise product cost, drive continuous improvements and provide insightful analysis on forecasted cost movements.

You will partner with supply chain functions to meet targets, forecast variances and standardise reporting across the global team, while developing processes and controls to improve efficiency in material pricing.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience ideally within a costing environment.
• High level of commercial, analytical and numeric skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong influencing skills.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Part of a global manufacturing group, my client is the UK operation for the business with the design and manufacturing team being on site in Preston.

Description

• As Finance Business Partner you will support the purchasing team and procurement activities in the business
• Partner with supply chain functions to meet performance targets and drive improvements in process efficiency and cost
• Forecasting and reporting on the purchase price variances
• Working with the global team to ensure consistency of reporting and forecast assumptions across the supply base
• Continuous development of processes, controls and use of technology in order to improve efficiency and relevance of activities around material purchase pricing.
