We are looking for a dynamic Finance Business Partner to support senior leaders in making effective, financially sound decisions. You'll work closely with Heads of Service, helping shape strategic and operational delivery by offering challenge, insight, and expert financial support. This role is key in delivering value for money and maintaining robust financial control across the organisation.
Lead financial support for key service areas, including budgeting, monitoring, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Deliver robust challenge and insight to ensure services operate within budget while achieving outcomes.
Provide high-quality financial analysis and reports to aid service transformation and planning.
Work collaboratively with budget holders to ensure accurate and timely financial management.
Develop financial models and business cases to support change and investment decisions.
Maintain strong financial governance and support the annual closure of accounts process.
Qualified CCAB/CIMA accountant (or finalist with significant experience).
Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a local government setting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and proactively.
A collaborative, strategic thinker with a focus on outcomes and service delivery.
