Job Summary

A career opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Effective Finance Business Partners are the ones who make the connections between people, groups and issues. They have the courage to speak up, to challenge, to hold up the mirror to the business and ask questions. They will be sitting in the middle of the decision making table offering a financial angle as well as insight to help drive better outcomes for patients.

Candidates from either the private sector or wider public sector organisations are strongly encouraged to apply. NHS experience is beneficial but not essential for the Finance Business Partner roles. We are looking for motivated, ambitious individuals who want to make an impact in their work environment.

Main duties of the job

1. Planning and Development
   • Produce financial plans for the division that meet the Trust's objectives.
   • Develop, implement, and monitor the financial components of the Divisions' Annual Plan, ensuring systems are in place for income and expenditure projections up to 3 years.
   • Lead in the development of divisional CIP schemes, reviewing plans, challenging assumptions, and assessing risks.
   • Lead on investment appraisal and complex financial analysis of divisional proposals and business cases, working closely with the capital team.
   • Present complex financial information to senior stakeholders within the Trust.
   • Analyze the impact of service changes and financial decisions on the division.
