Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Finance Business Partner, likely to be extended at the client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £43,983.00-£55,692.00 per annum

Summary:

The Finance Business Partner provides strategic financial support and guidance to service departments, acting as a key advisor to senior leaders. This role involves working independently to deliver financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and reporting services, with a focus on enabling evidence-based decision-making and ensuring financial sustainability. The post holder will act as a critical link between finance and operational teams, offering challenge and insight that drives efficiency, innovation, and value for money across the Council's services.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the lead financial contact for designated service areas, delivering expert advice and support.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of service operations and priorities.
• Support the full annual financial cycle including budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and year-end closure.
• Provide financial input to business cases, funding applications, and procurement exercises.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis, option appraisals, and costings to support decision-making.

Qualifications:

• A CCAB or CIMA accountancy qualification, or part-qualified and actively studying, or qualified by significant relevant experience.

• This role requires an Enhanced DBS.
