Job summary

The CFO HQ in Liverpool seeks a Finance Business Partner to support development teams with financial insight and challenge. You will focus on budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning across housing projects, driving informed commercial decisions.

You will partner with senior leaders to assess viability, manage reporting to boards and committees, and ensure robust financial controls while influencing key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing sector desirable.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Ability to influence stakeholders positively.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Development teams, providing financial insight, support and constructive challenge.
• Analyse development programme performance, highlighting key financial risks, opportunities and variances.
• Partner with budget holders and senior leaders to support informed commercial and investment decisions.
• Prepare and review financial appraisals, business cases and scheme viability assessments.
• Lead on budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning across development projects.
• Monitor project expenditure, grant income, funding requirements and overall financial performance.
• Produce clear, meaningful financial reports for senior management, Board and Committee meetings.
• Assess the longer-term financial implications of development activity and investment plans.
