Job summary

Pratap Partnership in Hull seeks a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to drive budgeting, forecasting and tender evaluation, turning numbers into strategic insight for sales growth and margin.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, develop weekly reporting, challenge assumptions, and support product development with unit economics and pricing models. ACA/ACCA/CIMA required; UK work rights essential; 4‑day week and generous benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with experience in commercial finance or business partnering.
• Strong modelling, budgeting and forecasting skills with advanced Excel.
• Able to influence and challenge non-finance stakeholders.
• UK commercial finance/ business partnering experience and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgets and in-year forecasts across commercial streams.
• Evaluate tenders, proposals and pricing campaigns; support board-level reviews.
• Partner on new product development; assess unit economics and pricing models.
• Develop daily/weekly reporting; explain variances and improve data accuracy.
• Support executive presentations with the Operations Finance team.

Job description

Pratap Partnership is recruiting a commercially focused Finance Business Partner for a manufacturing business in Hull. This is an opportunity to get into the detail of commercial performance, influence decisions and work closely with senior stakeholders. This is an opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and commercial teams, turning financial analysis into practical insight that supports commercial strategy, sales growth and margin performance.

Your role

• Lead annual budgets and in-year forecasts across commercial streams, challenging sales and cost assumptions.
• Evaluate tenders, commercial proposals and pricing campaigns, and support board-level proposals and post-tender reviews.
• Partner on new product development, assessing unit economics, pricing models and target margins.
• Develop daily and weekly reporting, explain performance variances and improve systems, data accuracy and insight.
• Support executive presentations and collaborate with the wider Operations Finance team at key business milestones.

About you

You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with experience in commercial finance or business partnering. You will bring strong modelling, budgeting and forecasting skills, advanced Excel capability and the confidence to influence and constructively challenge non-finance stakeholders. Manufacturing, Construction or Operations experience is beneficial, but not essential. UK experience in commercial finance, and/ or business partnering is essential, as is the right to work in the UK without expiry or sponsorship, this client does not have a license to sponsor.
