Chase & Holland are partnering with an established manufacturing business to recruit a Commercial Finance Business Partner in Hull. This is a commercially focused finance role that supports pricing decisions and profitability through robust financial insight.

You will work closely with stakeholders, develop forecasts, build financial models and drive performance with strategic financial guidance. The role offers hybrid working and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification required
• Experience in commercial finance within manufacturing
• Strong modelling, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Pricing and margin analysis expertise

Responsibilities

• Commercial Business Partnering: work with commercial stakeholders to provide financial guidance and recommendations
• Budgeting & forecasting: develop commercial budgets, forecasts and business plans with forward-looking insights
• Profitability & margin analysis: analyse sales performance, pricing, margins and profitability by channel
• Financial modelling: build models, scenario analysis and sensitivity testing for pricing and opportunities
• Performance reporting: deliver weekly/monthly financial analysis with variances and commentary
• Pricing & new business: support pricing proposals and commercial decisions
• Process improvement: improve reporting and financial controls
• Customer rebates: manage rebates and reconciliations

Key responsibilities include:

• Commercial Business Partnering: Work closely with commercial stakeholders, providing financial guidance, constructive challenge and recommendations to support business objectives
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the development of commercial budgets, forecasts and business plans, delivering accurate, forward-looking financial information
• Profitability & Margin Analysis: Analyse sales performance, pricing, margins and profitability across different sales channels, identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance
• Financial Modelling: Develop financial models, scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess pricing strategies, promotional activity and commercial opportunities
• Performance Reporting: Deliver insightful weekly and monthly financial analysis, highlighting key variances against budgets and forecasts and providing meaningful commentary
• Pricing & New Business: Provide financial support for new business opportunities, pricing proposals and commercial decision-making
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve reporting, strengthen financial controls and make better use of commercial data and financial systems
• Customer Rebates: Manage customer rebates and commercial arrangements, ensuring accurate reporting and monthly reconciliations

You will ideally have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA later stages or fully qualified
• Previous experience within a commercial finance or finance business partnering role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis skills
• Excellent understanding of pricing, profitability and margin analysis, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve business performance
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence and provide meaningful financial insight to non-finance stakeholders
