Job summary

Marc Daniels is partnering with a well-established software business to recruit an R&D Finance Business Partner. In this role you will partner with R&D, Product and IT leadership on spend, forecasts and investment decisions, and build product-level P&Ls and unit economics.

You will track delivery and spend against roadmaps, create business cases for new R&D, AI and infrastructure investments, and build dashboards to give leadership clear visibility of spend.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in FP&A or business partnering, ideally supporting technical or product teams.
• Strong Excel and modelling skills, including P&L builds, cost allocation and scenario analysis.
• Confident communicator who can challenge senior non-finance stakeholders.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or part qualified.

What you’ll be doing

• Building and owning product-level P&Ls and unit economics
• Tracking R&D delivery and spend against the roadmap and investment cases
• Creating business cases for new R&D, AI and infrastructure investment, and reviewing outcomes afterwards
• Analysing hosting and infrastructure costs and maintaining cost models
• Building dashboards and reporting that give leadership clear, timely visibility of spend

What they’re looking for

• 4+ years in FP&A or business partnering, ideally supporting technical or product teams
