Finance Business Partner

Based in Derby (with hybrid working - 2 days from home)

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Fully Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

We're working with a growing, forward-thinking business that is looking to add a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to their expanding team.

This is a newly created role due to growth, presenting a brilliant opportunity for someone recently qualified ready to step into a true business partnering position.

What you'll be doing:

1. Taking full ownership of the end-to-end management accounts process across a group of 9-10 businesses.
2. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across the group, building strong relationships and positively influencing decision-making.
3. Analyzing financial performance and trends, identifying risks and opportunities.
4. Providing commercial insight to support strategic decision-making, budgeting, and forecasting.
5. Some UK travel required—typically 2 to 3 times a month—to maintain strong business relationships.

What we're looking for:

1. Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) — ideally recently qualified.
2. Strong understanding of the full management accounts process.
3. A confident communicator who enjoys building relationships and working closely with stakeholders.
4. Experience in a client-facing role or from a private practice background would be ideal.
5. A proactive, inquisitive approach—comfortable digging into the detail and challenging the numbers.
6. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
