Job summary

Equifind are partnering with an international financial services business recruiting a Finance Business Partner to support the team on a 12-month basis. Based in London, the role covers multi-entity ledger control, business partnering with key stakeholders and management accounts preparation.

You will develop MI, support forecasting and budgeting, assist with statutory accounts under GAAP, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 2-4 years PQE.
• Experience in financial services is highly beneficial.
• Working knowledge of FRS 102 is advantageous.
• Strong Excel systems experience and timely reporting.
• Experience managing outsourced teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Control ledger for three international entities, partnering with key stakeholders and managing accounts.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders across the business.
• Create processes to ensure accurate MI and statutory reporting.
• Produce timely, accurate management information with analysis for stakeholders.
• Track and report investment performance versus plan.
• Collaborate on forecast and budget preparation with wider teams.
• Maintain ledgers and raise journals per policy.
• Liaise with external auditors and financial support services.
• Suggest MI improvements and coordinate cross-team solutions.
• Prepare statutory accounts for entities per GAAP with schedules.
• Strengthen Finance team and identify process/controls improvements.
• Lead projects requested by senior management.

Equifind are working with an exciting financial services business who are in the market for a qualified finance business partner to help the team out over the next year.

This company is an international financial services business that is growing all the time and is a high performer in his sector.

If you have a background in monthly reporting and business partnering, then this could be a great opportunity.

Key duties and responsibilities for this finance business partner position include:

• Responsibility for controlling the ledger of three international entities, including business partnering with key stakeholders, submitting regulatory returns and management accounts preparation
• Develop strong relationships with relevant stakeholders across the business
• Develop appropriate processes for the wider finance and operations teams to ensure both accurate MI and statutory reporting
• Production of timely & accurate management information, including detailed analysis and commentary which are clearly communicated to stakeholders
• Accurately track and report on investment performance versus plan
• Working with the wider business teams to prepare, review and challenge the forecast and budget plans
• Maintenance of accurate ledgers and ensuring journals are raised in line with policies
• Liaison with external auditors throughout the audit process, as well as external financial support services
• Proactive in suggesting improvements in current management information and working with multiple internal teams to deliver high quality solutions to meet the current business needs
• Responsibility for the preparation of statutory accounts for a small number of entities, in accordance with GAAP including supporting schedules for trial balance
• Contribute to strengthening of the Finance team and identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and analysis
• Take a lead role in projects relating to requests by senior management

Experience & Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum of 2-4 years PQE
• Experience of working within financial services is highly beneficial
• Working knowledge of FRS 102 would be great
• Strong excel systems experience
• Be a self-starter and deliver reports in a timely and accurate manner
• Experience of managing outsourced teams
• Strong communication & stakeholder experience

Daily Rate/Salary

This fantastic opportunity for a finance business partner will pay market rate.

We think this assignment will be for a minimum of 12 months and ideally to start over the next few weeks. Therefore, we will look at candidates on around two weeks' notice period.
