Job description

We’re looking for an ambitious, commercially curious Junior Finance Business Partner to support the Finance team in delivering insightful analysis, improving financial processes, and partnering with teams across the business. This is an ideal opportunity for someone part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or Qualified By Experience, who’s keen to move beyond the month-end and into a value-adding, strategic finance role.

You’ll gain exposure to a growing multi-entity group operating across the UK, Europe and international markets, giving you a broad commercial view across geographies and business lines. You’ll work closely with our Sales, Operations, and Finance teams, helping translate financial data into actionable insights, supporting business decision-making, and driving performance across key commercial areas.

You’ll be exposed to a wide range of business scenarios and supported to grow into a strategic business partner, with a clear progression path. The role offers a unique blend of hands‑on finance work and cross‑functional collaboration, supporting both day‑to‑day activities and business‑critical projects.

Key responsibilities

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

  • Partner with Sales and Operations to support margin analysis, cost control and profitability
  • Review commercial performance and deliver financial insights to aid decision‑making
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities working with stakeholders to build ownership and accountability
  • Contribute to business improvement initiatives, including automation and process optimisation

Reporting & Analysis

  • Improve and own monthly reporting, forecasts and variance analysis
  • Help streamline financial processes and reporting, supporting automation and scalability
  • Build dashboards and Excel/NetSuite analysis to enable real‑time decision‑making
  • Assist in month‑end close, reviews of monthly results vs forecast, and support year‑end audit prep
  • Support the CFO and Financial Controller with ad hoc reporting and commercial initiatives

Operational Finance Support

  • Support month‑end close activities, including variance reviews and year‑end audit preparation
  • Provide hands‑on support to the transactional finance team during the early stages of the role. This is a strategic foundation to understand core systems, processes, customer/vendor flows, and operational pain points, helping to build credibility, spot improvement opportunities, and partner more effectively across the business
  • Support the CFO and FD with ad hoc reporting and commercial initiatives
What we're looking for

We’re looking for someone with strong technical finance skills, commercial curiosity, and a desire to grow. You’ll need to be:

  • Part-qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or Qualified By Experience with strong commercial finance experience
  • Highly proficient in Excel: pivot tables, lookups, and confident with large data
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally with non‑finance teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive problem‑solver who enjoys understanding what’s behind the numbers
  • Organised, detail‑oriented, and able to manage deadlines
  • Keen to learn and evolve into a broader business partner role over time

We’re a fast‑growing, ambitious technology business operating across the UK, Europe and internationally. We combine technical expertise with outstanding service to help our partners and customers stay ahead in an increasingly connected world.

With an exciting roadmap ahead and a dynamic environment that thrives on pace, pride and precision, we’re building a Finance team that can grow with the business, providing insight, challenge, and support to drive performance. Our team culture is built on collaboration, challenge, and making things better, always with the customer in mind.

This is a genuine career accelerator. The breadth of a growing multi‑entity international group, combined with the pace of change and direct exposure to strategic decision‑making, gives you experience most Junior FBP roles at this level don’t offer.

You’ll be part of a finance team that’s evolving to serve the wider business more effectively, shifting from traditional reporting to insight‑driven partnering. This role is key to that journey.

  • A clear path to progression and development as a Finance Business Partner
  • Hybrid working with flexibility (minimum 3 days in‑office)
  • Opportunities to work on cross‑functional business improvement projects
  • A team that values initiative, rigour, and commercial impact
