Job summary

RM Recruit Limited is partnering with our Midlands-based international charity client to recruit a Finance Business Partner to join their Finance team. This role provides strategic financial insight across departments and grants, supporting decisions to maximise impact.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and donor reporting, working with senior leads and stakeholders. The role involves three days in the office and opportunities to automate processes using ERP and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Part qualified or QBE with strong FP&A and business partnering experience.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Knowledge of donor funding and institutional reporting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary finance partner for assigned departments and cost centres.
• Provide financial insight, analysis and challenge to budget holders.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses for decisions.
• Support donor bids with costings and full cost recovery.
• Manage project/grant financial lifecycle including reporting and close-out.
• Ensure donor requirements and internal controls are complied with.

RM Recruit is delighted to be partnering with our Midlands based international charity client to recruit a Finance Business Partner to join their Finance team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with strong financial planning, analysis and business partnering experience to join a purpose-led organisation working across multiple countries and supporting communities through humanitarian and development programmes.

Working closely with senior departmental and programme leads, you will act as a key financial partner, providing insight, challenge and practical support to help teams make informed financial decisions and maximise their impact.

Main duties include:

• Acting as the primary finance partner for assigned departments and cost centres.
• Providing financial insight, analysis and constructive challenge to budget holders.
• Leading annual budgeting and maintaining rolling forecasts.
• Producing and analysing monthly management accounts and variance reports.
• Developing financial models and scenario analysis to support decision-making.
• Supporting donor bids and ensuring appropriate costing and full cost recovery.
• Managing the financial lifecycle of projects and grants, including budgets, allocations, reporting and close-out.
• Ensuring compliance with donor requirements and internal financial controls.
• Providing fund-level financial reporting and insight to stakeholders.
• Supporting month-end processes, journals and reconciliations.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes through automation, ERP systems and digital finance tools.
• Supporting non-finance colleagues to develop their financial understanding and capability.

As the ideal candidate, you will be part qualified or QBE with strong experience in financial business partnering, advanced budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling experience. Experience of grant management and institutional donor reporting is highly desirable coupled with strong financial analysis and month-end reporting experience.

You will be a confident operator with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills and also possess the confidence to provide constructive challenge to senior colleagues. You will possess strong data analysis and reporting skills and experience with Power BI, data visualisation, AI or finance automation would be advantageous. This role is working at their offices up to three days per week.
