Job summary

The Health Charity is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join its finance team on a 12-month FTC, connecting financial information with operational decision-making. The role sits at the heart of the organisation, partnering with budget holders and senior leaders to influence resource use and strategy.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, monthly accounts, and financial reporting, using data to identify risks and opportunities while supporting business cases and strategic projects.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIPFA or equivalent
• Strong management accounting and budgeting experience
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Experience working in a complex multi-team environment
• Charity/not-for-profit experience desirable

Responsibilities

We're working with an established, national health charity that is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join its finance team on a 12-month FTC and play a key role in connecting financial information with operational decision-making.

This is a broad partnering role for someone who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders, getting under the skin of performance and using financial insight to help teams make better decisions.

You'll sit at the heart of the organisation, working across a range of teams and building strong relationships with budget holders and senior leaders. It's a role that combines hands‑on financial management with genuine business partnering and the opportunity to influence how resources are used.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across a portfolio of teams.

You’ll ideally have:

• A full accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIPFA) or the equivalent in experience


• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience.


• Experience partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders.


• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to make finance accessible to non-finance colleagues.


• Experience working in a complex, multi-team environment.


• Ideally, charity/not-for-profit experience and an understanding of charity accounting.
