Finance Business Partner - Product Partnering

This Finance Business Partner role will support Credit Cards and Personal Loans within our Retail Finance team. Our Finance Business Partnering teams are integral to our success as a Society, working both within the wider finance team and directly with areas across the Society to ensure we achieve our strategic objectives and deliver value for our members. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone to join a team that offers key stakeholders financial guidance, advice, and insightful analysis to support and challenge decision-making.

We are open to flexible working arrangements to support your performance. The weekly working hours for this role can range from 28 to 35 hours.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading a team responsible for understanding and explaining financial performance to the business.
  • Assisting the business in defining and understanding implications of pricing proposals, competitor strategies, and market dynamics.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver accurate forecasts, including planning and external stress tests.
  • Acting as the Finance lead on high-profile strategic initiatives to ensure comprehensive understanding and smooth delivery, working closely with key stakeholders across the Society.
About you
  • Qualified Accountant with professional credentials (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
  • Commercially focused with experience in business partnering and familiarity with financial products and propositions, using internal and external data for complex pricing decisions.
  • Deep understanding of capital dynamics, balance sheet risk, and funding sources, with the ability to challenge outside your expertise and work closely with non-finance stakeholders to balance customer outcomes and sustainability.
  • Strong communication skills with confidence to present to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate innovative solutions.
  • Organized with the ability to manage multiple high-standard deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
