We all have a responsibility to do everything we can to ensure a brighter, more sustainable future - from the largest multinational to the smallest family home.

'Immer Besser' defines Miele's commitment to always do better in everything we do. It keeps motivating us to make better, smarter appliances so the homes and businesses they serve become more sustainable, from one generation to the next.

Are you a Finance Business Controller looking for a new challenge?

We are currently hiring for three people to work with our Marketing, Sales or Service operations.

We strive to make our workplace and culture as future-proof as our world-renowned products. Come and join a team that has been evolving since 1899 and help us to continue achieving our philosophy of being ‘Immer Besser’.

Miele is a world leader in the production of premium domestic and commercial appliances. At Miele, we take immense pride not only in the quality of our appliances but also in all aspects of customer experience.

In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership and play a crucial part in shaping our financial management and strategic planning.

In your new role…

You’ll report into the FP&A Director and directly partner with the functional Directors and leadership teams. We work as part of a cluster which includes GB, Ireland, and South Africa.

You’ll be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and data quality management. The key priority is to support growth of net sales, improvement of the channel, customer margins, and profitability.

A strong and influential communicator, you will be able to provide recommendations and challenge decision-making to achieve our goals. You will be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and work in partnership with the business areas to ensure profitable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and data quality management.
  • Support the growth of net sales, customer margins, and profitability.
  • Offer financial guidance to FP&A Director and cluster Managing Director in key business decisions related to cost development, investments, spends, and efficiency improvements.
  • Manage cost control and expenses of the cluster and local markets.
  • Conduct financial analyses and communicate key financial developments.
  • Provide financial guidance in key business decisions related to product/Business Unit profitability.
  • Evaluate investments, ROI, and pre- and post-analyses.
  • Partner with the FP&A Director and MD to enhance financial development through active financial management and collaboration.
  • Prepare regular reports on developments, business cases, and proposals.
  • Coordinate and execute regular forecast and budget cycles within the cluster.
  • Prepare pre- and post-calculations of promotions.
  • Support strategic and tactical business and financial process development under the guidance of the FP&A Director.

What you will bring:

  • Degree education or equivalent professional finance qualifications (part or fully qualified will be considered) with evidence of continuous learning.
  • Proven work experience as a Business Controller/Finance Business Partner in driving performance in a consumer products business across Sales B2C and/or Service operations.
  • Strong business acumen and a commercial mindset.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and risk management.
  • High analytical skills, proactive approach, with the ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in managing and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
  • Ability to lead financial projects and collaborate with various departments and senior management.

You’ll work in a hybrid role, both at home and in our Abingdon office, requiring up to 3 days per week in the office.

What to expect from us:

In addition to a strong commitment to your personal development and growth, we offer a salary of up to £70,000 plus a competitive benefits package including Private Medical Insurance, a company bonus, significant discounts and rewards, and a range of health & wellbeing benefits.

With Miele, you can truly develop yourself, pursue your own career path, stay with us long-term, and help us reach higher levels of customer delight. We want you to feel part of a team where we will help you reach your potential, own your career, be respected, and perform at your best.

Alongside your existing skills and experience, we’re looking for engaged team players who will collaborate, innovate, and use their passion to drive an exceptional customer experience at every touchpoint.

Please apply below by sharing your CV and telling us ‘why Miele?’ and ‘why me?’ in the covering letter section.
